Dimensions: With Handle upright: Total Height 9", 6" Deep, 9 1/4" x 5 3/4" Oval.  Exquisite silver Pandan Oval Box with Handle and latch. Hinged lid. Copper paint highlights on hammered metal, Lotus Floral design. Hand crafted, primitive, estimated age to be early 1900's.
Handle and latch are very heavy. The box is hinged and made of thinner metal to achieve the hammered designs. These containers were used primarily to hold betel nut or spices.
