    Confederate artillery on the heights of Kennesaw Mountain rained shells down on General Logan's Union troops as they massed for their assault on the morning of June 27, 1864. Sherman's plan called for a diversionary move against Kennesaw Mountain on the Confederate left. The main assault was to be made at the Confederate center, along the Burnt Hickory Road, and south of the Dallas Road, now called Cheatham Hill. Both attacks were brief bloody failures.
    Full size, high quality reproduction of Louis Prang's print of the Civil War.  The original chromolithograph was scanned at full size into a state-of-the-art computer, and color corrected using photo retouching software and a special calibrated monitor.  This historic image is printed on a modern four color lithographic printing press using metal plates. Each print is on heavyweight, acid-free, archival paper.
