    For your consideration is an exquisite Indonesian wood carving
    It represents the head of Barong Ket - a mystical lion-like beast, king of the jungle, the symbol of a good spirit. It is the most common Barong - a character representing good spirit in the Balinese mythology
    Very fine hand carving from one piece of exotic wood, including the loop on the back
    Circa early 1900's, Bali
