A rare antique silver alloy figure of Buddha, Laos or north Thailand. S
hown seated in Bhumisparsha Mudra known as the earth touching position. This gesture represents the moment of The Buddha's awakening as he claims the earth as the witness of his enlightenment.
Found in bronze more commonly but few and far between in silver. Splendid genuine age patina.
