    Description

    A heavy 19th century Philippine Mindanao Kris (also called a Sundang) from the Sulu Archipelago of the Tausug tribe, double edged 21 inch wavy pattern welded forged blade with a central and 2 silver stirrups, the hilt completely covered with tied and knotted cord, horse hoof type pommel, the original wooden scabbard covered in rattan, the top and bottom with applied t/shell and silver pin decoration, the top and bottom of the sheath also with applied nickel strip. The top with the inventory label from the National Museum Philippines. Overall 27 inches.
