Copper, silver and black niello.
1 in high X 1.75 wide. 40 grams.
Beautiful inlaid with silver, and black niello, copper opium box. A round Shou character (longevity) decorate the top bottom and surrounded buy a large floral motif with rope edging all inlaid in silver. The sides have two Shou designs along with two floral and vine inlaid with silver, niello and brown pigment. The copper bottom is undecorated. Silver bands and rope edging solder along the edges secure the container for a very nice tight fit. Has had several repairs over the years of use.
