Please understand that eBay has made a decision to no longer permit Confederate battle flag and related listings. We believe the image of the flag itself has become a contemporary symbol of divisiveness and racism. This is not a reflection or judgement on anyone selling the item and we respect that there are a wide variety of opinions on this issue. We thank you for your understanding and ask you to please not list these kinds of items.

CSA 03
. Taken in Richmond Virginia April 16, 1865 (Easter Sunday), by Mathew Brady himself. Brady has positioned General Lee right in the cross panels of the door behind him. In this outstanding photograph General Lee> Brady had asked Gen. Lee to  wear the uniform he was wearing when he surrendered to General Grant, but he did not.  In this photograph General Lee is setting showing a profile, you can note the detail of the band around his hat is similar to the one used by officers on their sleeves to denote rank, the detail of his watch chain and eyeglass ribbon are exceptional.
This photographic print was made directly from a digital file of the deteriorated wet collodion plate negative then painstakingly  restored, no detail was left untouched. Compare what else is offered for over a 0.00. The final print is made on a 12 color printer from a 16 bit one gigabit file. General Lee's signature has been applied to the image.
After his death, a Northern newspaper wrote of him "We have long since ceased to look upon him as the Confederate leader, but have claimed him as one of ourselves; have cherished and felt proud of his military genius; have recounted and recorded his triumphs as our own; have extolled his virtue as reflecting upon us—for Robert Edward Lee was an American, and the great nation which gave him birth would be today unworthy of such a son if she regarded him lightly".

SOME people
seem a little confused as to my descriptions: (I want nobody to be disappointed in there purchase, I take great pride in what I do).
Let me make myself perfectly clear. What you see, is what you get, the image on eBay is the PRODUCT you will receive, and in all cases better. I have described in great detail each item and exactly what it is. If you have any requests or questions please do not hesitate to ask before you order, I will be happy to answer them.
Know what you are buying.
It is what it is, a
Museum Quality print
made and restored from a digital file using the old glass negative and in rare instances a print, it is
NOT
an original print made in the 1860's and restored, (seems I had one buyer expecting an original restored print circa 1860's with actual signatures made by the General's on the print for .95???) it is a
restored
archival digital reproduction
, with the General's signature carefully applied, not some cheap print. Again, if you have any questions please ask.
THE FLAG ILLUSTRATED IS FOR EDUCATIONAL & DISPLAY PURPOSES AND IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS LOT. The flag depicted here was made of silk and used to cover President Jefferson Davis's casket.
