Authentic Antique Asian Pottery From Sawankholok Thailand Rare Cultural Artifact

For sale is this incredible antique Thai pottery piece that was made long ago in Sawankholok, Thailand. This piece is beautifully designed with a classic southeast Asian style, and would look beautiful on display as a piece of artwork. It is made out of a glazed white pottery (possibly a ceramic or porcelain of some kind that was glazed with a different color dye before being fired). This particular piece was purchased out of a private US based collection. Provenance: This was purchased from a massive collection of ancient art that was assembled in the 1990’s. The entire collection was being dissolved and consigned to several prestigious auction houses. I purchased a collection of about 20 pieces via a dealer of antiques of this type. This particular piece had a sample taken from it (notice the small spot on the bottom). The clay removed as part of the sample seems to match the style of medieval aged pieces from Sawankholok Thailand, however it may also be a more modern piece from there. It is really difficult to age a piece like this, as the styles have remained remarkably similar over the centuries, and most any age piece shares the same clay as the base. I am not sure of the exact age (it may be as old as late medieval period, or as modern as something made about 100 years ago). Regardless of age it is an incredible cultural art artifact from such an incredible area. Please study the photos VERY CAREFULLY so that you will have a good idea of exactly what you will receive. The photos do the best job at showing condition, flaws, blemishes, aging, artistic style, and more. They show condition far better than I can describe, so please study them carefully. This would make a great teaching tool, display piece, decor piece, conversation piece, art piece, or addition to any collection! Perfect as a gift or a piece to show off! Perfect for any collection!
