Antique Tilam Upih keris, kris – Tuban era (15th century) – Tilam Upih wilah with the rare pamors Ujung Gunung and Raja Temenang – Solo gayaman warangka of the noble Gembol jati wood – Antique blewah pendok.
This antique Tilam Upih keris dates from the Tuban era (15th century). A Tuban Keris can be said to be an ancient formidable keris that, despite its considerable age and thanks to the masterful blacksmithing, can still be found today. The characteristics of a Tuban keris are that they generally have a straight Wilah (blade) without grooves. In addition, a Tuban keris is usually forged to the dapur Tilam Upah or Kebo Layer. The Pamor motif of a Tuban keris usually consists of three colors; black, cloudy white and glossy white.
Due to the masterful blacksmithing, the wilah is still in excellent condition and did not need to be washed again as the pamor is very clear.
The wilah is forged with the rare pamor motif Ujung Gunung. Pamor Ujung Gunung is one of the pamors that keris collectors and executives are looking for as this pamor has a strong spiritual power to help raise the rank and status of its owner. At first glance, the shape of that pamor motif resembles pamor Junjung Drajat, Rojo Abolo Rojo and Pandito Bolo Pandito, namely in the form of lines that form a triangle at the top, often causing confusion in the naming of the four pamors because their shape is almost the same. Pamor Ujung Gunung's motif has conical lines at the bottom, like the top of the mountain. It symbolizes the attainment of supreme power and overall influence over everything around it. This pamor motif is therefore very suitable for self-employed entrepreneurs and managers. Pamor is a motif that beautifies the appearance of the keris-wilah, but in addition, pamor is also a symbol of good luck or the benefits of a spiritually powerful keris. The shape and name of the pamor are symbols of the hopes and requests offered by the Empu who forged it.
In addition to the rare pamor, the wilah is forged with the pamor titipan Raja Temenang. This is a circular pamor pattern located at the base of the wilah. It possesses spiritual powers that give the owner of the keris a lot of authority, so that he can count on a lot of respect due to his work and private environment.
The keris is housed in a striking warangka and gandar of the noble Gembol jati wood. A copper, antique blewah pendok with intricate carvings covers the gandar.
This is a high keris with a lively and almost royal isi. On request I would be happy to tell you more about the isi of this special keris.
