Antique 19th century Islamic Knife “Rencong” traditional weapon of the Acehnese from the northern Sumatran region of Aceh. A sturdy narrow, incurved, single – edged Hand Forged  Damascus Steel blade, decorated on both sides in ellipse pattern, with a characteristic bent handle with brass ferrule (
metok),
in its original wooden scabbard.
CONDITION: The wooden scabbard is chipped, the blade is with age patina and signs of usage.
MEASUREMENTS: Overall length in the scabbard: 28.2 cm (11 1/8 inches).
