    Description

    15th century Annamese/Vietnamese lidded box. The circular box is slightly concave  Lidded box with slightly concave top and globular sides; decorated in underglaze blue with a flower among foliage and scrolls on the cover medallion all enclosed in double circular band. A side lock of a face on one side with half on the body and half on the lid. The beige tinted white glaze shows crazing. The base remains unglazed revealing a beige biscuit.
    The box measures 1.75" x 2.75". There are small chips to the lip rim as pictured but in otherwise good condition.
