Anamese blue and white ceramic plate from Hoi An hoard

Description

Anamese blue and white ceramic dish with raised rim decorated in under glaze cobalt blue of a plump bird perched on a leafy bamboo branch on center, surrounded by a band of orchid blossoms and vines, the exterior wall decorated with lotus form lappets, raised foot rim and iron brown washed base with the Hoi An Hoard label, artifact #146386, recovered from the 1999 salvage of a wreck off the Vietnamese coast.
One small iron stain at the unglazed rim otherwise excellent condition.
