1923-29 Granger Denver Special 8-1/2' 3/2 Bamboo Fly Rod

Here we have an early (1923-29) Goodwin Granger Denver Special 8-1/2' 3/2 Bamboo Fly Rod.
Measures 8 feet assembled, as tips and mid are a tad short.
I found this rod
in the original bag
hanging on a nail in between the double walls of an old barn in Lakewood Colorado around 1980. Lord knows how long it had been there. While the finish was completely either turned to dust or gone, it never de-laminated and actually cleaned up pretty well.
All original reel seat, ferrules, grip, one tip top and stripping guide, remaining guides were either gone or rusted nearly to oblivion. Not knowing what else to do back in those days, I refinished it as carefully as possible with 2/0 silks and spar varnish, matching wraps to the ghost impressions on the shaft and using the few that remained as a guide.
I fished it once, something not too many folks can say these days!
